The International Committee of the Red Cross warned of a comprehensive collapse of the infrastructure and economy, energy shortage and the acute shortage of fuel in the Gaza Strip.

The international committee, in a statement to the press, " to Donia Al watan Web site have acopy of it  , that the "energy scarcity and the acute shortage of fuel in the Gaza Strip and the work of the damage in all aspects of life in the private sector."

"This is about to happen a comprehensive collapse of the infrastructure and the economy ones where it already", indicating that "the new crisis looms in the sectors of public health and the environment, because of the scarcity of energy, unless there is an immediate intervention".

It pointed out that "the scarcity of fuel and energy has reached a critical level, which threatens to provide essential services, including health care, sewage treatment and clean water supply."

The sector suffers from about 2 million people, severe power crisis almost 10 years old, with hours of electrical power at the present time of 14-16 hours a day.
