Due to a desire on both sides Palestinian and Israeli and to the international urgency diplomatic efforts, both sides are willing to reduce the escalation wave of violence and keen to maintain the calm security situation.

So far, all Palestinians attacks against Israeli Forces and Settlers (Stabbing ran over by cars) is spontaneous and not organized by Palestinian factions. There is no central management or control structure for neither this attacks or marches and demonstrations. The Palestinian factions are trying to keep up with the street movement but at the same time not drive the conditions in a direction that might militarize the current field conditions. In the Israeli side, the Israeli prime minister and cabinet are interest to reduce the escalation wave of violence, and use more force will result in more casualties, and increase the level and frequency of violence. 

Changing on operation hours in both directions at Allenby Bridge (king Hussein Bridge):

Crossing would be open 24 hours Sunday through Thursday, and that on Friday and Saturday it would be open until 5 p.m. "The decision is intended to be permanent and will serve the residents during the summer months during which there is a rise in the number of crossings, The border crossing, known as the al-Karama crossing in Arabic, serves hundreds of Palestinians daily, as Palestinians from West Bank are unable to use Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport -- with the exception of a few special permit holders -- and therefore must cross through the Allenby Bridge to access the Amman airport in order to travel abroad.

Phenomenon of using firearm and fireworks:

The phenomenon of using firearm and fireworks in weddings and celebrations is tradition in Palestinian territory despite the risks, summer time is the separation rest and annual leave, high season for weddings and other celebrations, number of weddings attending firing some bullets and fireworks high into space, caring to avoid any hurting anyone, but occur painful deaths or injuries in many time by stray bullets shot in the celebrations and weddings.

Expectation of general security situation (Israeli-Palestinian politically motivated violence) throughout the West Bank, Jerusalem, Arab towns inside the Green line, and Israel:

·         There is still a possibility of some minor incidents:Palestinian Spontaneous attacks against Israeli Forces and Settlers. Especially in the sense of, Stabbing ran over by cars, hurling stones and Molotov cocktails… etc, at Israeli Forces and Settlers’ vehicles, it usually occurs on bypass roads that pass through Palestinian villages in West Bank, and in various parts of east Jerusalem neighborhoods and inside Israel.

·         Israeli settlers and right wing activists (‘Price Tag’) attacks against Palestinians) especially in the sense of stones being thrown at Palestinian vehicles (green plate vehicles) near the Settlements and main bypass roads. provocations by settlers against Palestinian residents, as well as entering Arab neighborhoods, puncturing vehicle tire, damaging property, and spraying graffiti slogans on Arab property(Mosques, Churches, Cemetery,… etc). Such attacks take place throughout the West Bank.

·         Friday Weekly protests at noon time, hundred Palestinians Popular Resistance Activists, International and Israeli Solidarity Activists will march  throughout the West Bank districts(City center, refugee camps, and villages) and in various parts of Jerusalem neighborhoods and villages protesting, against the separation wall, expansion of settlements, and blockages the entrance of Palestinian villages adjacent to bypass roads near their villages preventing them from using it which leads to longer travel distances, during the marches Potential eruption of confrontation between Palestinians and Israeli forces in Friction points in various parts of Jerusalem neighborhoods and villages, and throughout the West Bank (check points ,friction points, and near the separation wall)in the confrontations Palestinians citizens using firework in additional of throwing stones at the Israeli forces, Israeli forces respond by using tear Gas and rubber bullet and some time use live ammunition which could potentially result in fatalities on the Palestinian side.

·         Witnessed a decrease in Israeli incursions for arrest campaign throughout the West Bank districts, and in various parts of Jerusalem neighborhoods and villages in both number of incursions and the number of the Palestinian arrestees. Potential eruption of confrontations between Palestinian citizens and Israeli Forces during these incursions. When Palestinian citizens find out about the arrest raids carried out by Israel Forces, hundreds of Palestinians immediately begins to assemble hurl Molotov cocktails and stones at the Israeli Forces. Israeli Forces respond by fired live ammo in addition to teargas and sound bomb which could potentially result in injuries and fatalities on the Palestinian side.

·         Strict procedures a thorough security checks on Israeli Fixed Checkpoints and crossing from West bank to Jerusalem, in additional Israeli Force will put Many flying checkpoints on the bypass roads across the West bank and at the entrances to Palestinian villages adjacent to Israeli settlements ,that most likely cause delays at checkpoints and traffic jam.

·         Weekly Sit-in in front of the Red Cross headquarters throughout main city centers in the West Bank in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Jails by Palestinian Prisoner Families, Palestinian Prisoner Club Association, Ministry of Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs, and the Palestinian Factions activists will continue.

·         The Palestinian security services in West Bank are being deployed in the areas where it is possible for Palestinian youths to confrontations to protect the lives of these youths, also Palestinian National Security services campaign and deployed still ongoing in the West Bank areas to arrest Palestinian criminal fugitives and intended to address all attempts to security chaos and arrested criminal fugitives to achieve safety and security, and to prevent any attempts of any personal or groups to take advantage of the chaos. Potential eruption of confrontations between Palestinians National Security and Palestinian criminal fugitives during the arresting operations.

·         Israeli authorities continues to halt building expansion in the West Bank countryside, as well as the continuation of demolishing homes without proper permits in Jerusalem, and the distribution of notifications for demolition in Jerusalem and in all Palestinian districts, during the demolishing ,Potential eruption of confrontation between Palestinians citizen and Israeli forces in the demolishing neighborhoods and villages, in the confrontations Palestinians citizens using firework in additional of throwing stones at the Israeli forces, Israeli forces respond by using tear Gas and rubber bullet and some time use live ammunition which could potentially result in fatalities on the Palestinian side.

·         Organized Crime, and Family disputes as well as neighbor disputes in both Israel and Palestine, for Israel side organized crime brawls including car explosions and gun fire expected to continue, as well as burglaries of homes theft of vehicles expected to continue, for Palestinian side despite that no organized crime in Palestine crime incidents within the Palestinian territories which include burglaries of homes as well as theft of vehicles expected to continue. Family disputes as well as neighbor disputes in both Israel and Palestine which have resulted in fatalities are expected to continue.

·         Traffic police heighten their presence throughout the region in both Palestine and Israel to take measures to cut down on casualties and injuries due to accidents. There has been an increase in the usage of illegal vehicles throughout the West Bank as well an increase in vehicular accidents. Those involved in accidents with illegal vehicles will not be covered by the other parties insurance if they are at fault and those who are at fault involving illegal vehicles may have to cover the damage on both sides.

Friday prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque Compound (from 12:00 hrs-14:00 hrs, expected:

1.      Israeli forces will deployed large forces in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as in the areas in various parts of Jerusalem neighborhoods and villages to quick disperse any Palestinian gatherings immediately in order to halt any planned protests and activities beforehand.

2.      Israeli Police will impose holiday traffic restrictions (close of the surrounding streets to the Old City of Jerusalem for vehicular traffic) closures of the surrounding streets to the old city of Jerusalem; will lead to traffic congestions on the main streets adjacent to the old town of Jerusalem: Hebron Road and Road #1.

3.      Potential confrontations between Palestinian citizens and Israeli Forces inside and around the Old City of Jerusalem.

4.      Worshippers march inside Al-Aqsa Compound after Friday Prayers protesting the continuous visits by Israeli right-wing activists to Al-Aqsa Compound.  .

Crime and violence throughout the West Bank, Jerusalem, Arab towns:

Increasing incidents of organized crime and violence in Israel and Arab towns inside the Green line, especially in the sense of car explosions gun fire, theft of vehicles, burglaries of homes, and pocket theft, which have resulted in injuries and fatalities.

1.      Increasing incidents of crime throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem, despite that no organized crime in Palestine, especially in the sense of theft of vehicles, burglaries of homes, and pocket theft.

2.      Increasing incidents of brawls, family disputes as well as neighbor disputes, which have resulted in injuries and fatalities,throughout the West Bank, Jerusalem, Arab towns inside the Green line, and Israel.

General security situation along the Gaza Strip- Israel border:

It is expected that the overall security situation in the Gaza Strip border will remain calm (Hamas continues preventing rocket fire from the Gaza Strip) as it is since ceasefire agreement which was reached by Egyptian mediation on 26 August. Both sides will maintain the ceasefire under its current terms; with possibility of some minor violations:

·         Incidents of mortar fire from Gaza into Israel might occur as well as Israeli response with airstrikes and tank. But there are no real indicators of new war.

·         Israeli naval forces open fire towards Palestinians fishermen, fishing off the Gaza coast.

·         Israeli Forces open fire towards any Palestinian approached the border fence separating Gaza from Israel.

·         Due to the dispute between Hamas former Government and Palestinian unity Government over the control of Gaza Strip, many of the violations that demonstrate the escalation of the security chaos it was noticed lately, in the same time that there are no efforts to put an end to the increasing lawlessness and to put in place concrete mechanisms to ensure the protection of the Palestinian civilian population, as well as foreign human rights and relief workers and journalists, and to put an end to attacks against civilians and ending engage in actions which endanger the safety of civilians. Expected continue of violence, especially in the sense of damaging property by burning or bombings (public and private places, government offices, and International offices).

Expectation of general security in Golan Heights

Despite the tension remains in the Golan Heights (Syria/Israel border) In the Syrian civil war Israeli Forces have responded to occasional mortar fire that has landed on the Israeli side of the Golan. Israel reported some of the attacks have been accidental spillover, while others have been intentional. But there are no real indicators of new war.

Expectation of general security in northern Sinai

Security situation in northern Sinai area remains unstable, Egyptian security forces continue to work on stabilizing the security situation, the unstable security situation in Sinai region causing indirect tension on the Egypt/Israel border.

Security Advice:

1.      General security conditions are tense. Additional violence or measures from either side that will increase the tension might lead to a new cycle of violence in the area. 

2.      Avoid all gathering and rallies, demonstrations, and other crowds (even peaceful ones) as they can turn violent without warning.

3.      Extra vigilant while travelling in friction point along shared roads (bypass roads that pass through Palestinian villages roads adjacent to Israeli settlements. Road 60, 443... Etc, to avoid not being target from either side (Settlers and Palestinian) by mistake identity.).

4.      Remain cautious and to allow extra time for travel.

5.      Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

6.      Keep someone from your office aware of your movements at all times in Jerusalem and on the roads.

7.      Do not listen to rumors or spread them. 

8.      Be extra vigilant while driving along shared roads (bypass roads).

9.      Avoid travelling between cities after sunset.
